Notification of Intent to Award ePower DIWS Support and Maintenance to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation
The FAA intends to award a single source order to Northrop Grumman Sys Corp, 7575 Colshire Drive, McLean, VA 22102 on June 26, 2014. This purchase is for ePower DIWS support and maintenance and. The total price for this award is $56,404.80. The period of performance is one year. This award is in accordance with AMS 3.2.2.4 Single Source Selection. The rationale for obtaining the ePower maintenance and support on a single source basis is ePower is a proprietary product owned by Northrup Grumman and they are the only company able to supply the software and maintenance. The product was imbedded into the DIWS application and it would require a complete redesign of the application to attempt to integrate any other workflow product. The existing application would still require the renewal and support to avoid impacting the Medical safety mission until the new application was developed and deployed. Northrop Grumman is the only authorized supplier of the software, annual maintenance and technical support services for ePower software. The technical support includes a call center and help desk support, new upgrades, versions and releases. An informal market analysis was performed June 2014 which confirmed these conclusions.
