The Centers for Disease Control and prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Sterling Computers for Oracle Premier Support for Systems. DSNS's suggested vendor is Sterling Computers. Oracle supports its vendor network by requiring customers to reuse the vendor or origin for repeat business. If the customer chooses another vendor then a new customer fee is charged for switching vendors. Oracle's partnering agreement with their vendors only allows customers to renew support agreement with the vendor of origin without paying a substantial new customer fee for each time the customer switches vendors.
