In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures.
The FAA intends to award a single-source contract to Science Application International Corporation (SAIC) of McLean, VA. This procurement is for Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC). The procurement will have a period of performance of six months with one six month option. The intent of this interim contract is to provide continued specialized expertise on projects scheduled to be complete within the contractbs period of performance and to bridge the gap in services from the date of current contract expiration until a competitive, performance-based, follow-on contract can be awarded.
