Notice of Intent to Single Source: Hypobaric Chambers Modernization
NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE-SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award a single-source contract to Environmental Tectonics Corporation to provide the Upgrade and Modernization of the Research and Student Hypobaric Chambers for aviation training. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on Patents, Proprietary Data, and Unique Capabilities. The single-source vendor is the only known source available that can provide this customized upgrade.
Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures.
