Notice of Intent to Single Source: Hypobaric Chamber Vacuum Replacement
NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE-SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award a single-source purchase order to Environmental Tectonics Corporation to provide the replacement of the vacuum systems for the Research and Student Hypobaric Chambers for aviation training. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on Patents, Proprietary Data, and Unique Capabilities. The single-source vendor is the only known source available that can provide this customized upgrade.
Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures.
