The organization is seeking to improve the dissemination of information to a wider audience. The overall goals for the organization website are:
• To facilitate interaction between the organization professional members and organization staff, and others in
the reproductive industry about the importance of support for the infertile consumer
population; the importance of giving back to the population through donation of services and
support with writing of fact sheets or moderation of a forum within the INCIID Community.
• To improve and expand the communication of information to consumers worldwide.
• To promote better use of information in application to their schedules of treatment.
• To further establish and grow a community of people working in or interested INCIID’s mission
(including professionals; individual consumers, nurses, attorneys etc.)
• To expand the number of professional members
• To expand the number of consumers who will benefit from INCIID Services
The Council is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals and couples explore their family-building options. The organization provides current information and immediate support regarding the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infertility and pregnancy loss, and offers guidance to those considering adoption or childfree lifestyles.
The organization solicits donations of medical services and use of facilities from reproductive endocrinologists and others in the reproductive medical industry for their IVF Scholarship program. The "From INCIID the Heart IVF Scholarship" supports couples and individuals who need treatment for infertility but who do not have insurance to cover treatment and who have financial need preventing the opportunity to create a family through treatment of their disease or disorder.
The organization's web development project is funded through individual donations from consumers and professional membership who believe in the mission to support consumers suffering with multiple pregnancy loss, stillbirth, adoption issues and infertility treatment.
Recently the organization experienced the loss of 3 hard drives and backup as well as a raid controller failing all at one time. We were able to recover our data and we hope our site will be back up by the end of this week (10-21-12). We have been planning to move from our current CMS to Drupal and need to move forward with our plan.
