Non-Personal Part-time On-call Pediatric General Surgeon Services for the Dept. of Surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii
The Pacific Regional Contracting Office (PRCO) at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii intends to award a firm-fixed price, non-personal services contract for a part-time on-call Pediatric General Surgeon for the Department of Surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii. This requirement is for a period of performance from 01 Aug 2014 through 31 January 2015 (Base and 1 Option Period).
The on-call Pediatric General Surgeon will provide urgent or emergent medically necessary health care services including urgent or emergent clinical, surgical and consultative services. The services will be provided to beneficiaries age sixteen (16) years and under who are presented to TAMC for urgent or emergent treatment. These include, but are not limited to pediatric tumors, developmental anomalies, and general surgical procedures. The Pediatric General Surgeon must be located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii due to nature of the services to be provided.
The proposed acquisition is intended as a sole source set-aside to Kapiolani Medical Specialist (KMS). KMS is the only vendor that can provide Pediatric General Surgeons who are located on Oahu, licensed by the State of Hawaii and can provide on-call Pediatric General Surgeon services in an emergent situation that would require immediate attention.
