Understory non-commercial thinning and fuels reduction within 500 feet of private property, within 150 feet of key roads in communities along the Klamath River from Happy Camp to Hamburg, and in pine plantations.
The project includes cutting brush, thinning of small diameter understory hardwoods and conifers and pruning leave trees with chainsaws. Created activity slash and existing dead and down shall be piled compactly and covered with waxed paper. These piles will be burned by Forest Service personnel at a later date.
