Night Vision Goggles
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following: 1) 1 set of night vision thermal imaging goggles, and 2 mounting kits. This requirement is sole sourced to L-3 Communications Corporation, Warrior Systems Division, Insight Operations, 9 Akira Way, Londonderry, NH 03053 due to unique capability. L3 is the only company producing wide angle (4-tube panoramic) capability and also combined night vision and thermal imaging (in the same device). Any firms believing that they can provide the service may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than the date posted on this notice, clearly showing its ability to do so without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the testing without causing programmatic hardship to the program.
