Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), which manages and operates portions of the Savannah River Site (SRS) under a Department of Energy (DOE) prime contract, seeks information from parties, capable of providing a redundant enhanced 911 Telephone system as described within this request for information (RFI).

The SRS is located approximately 15 miles south of Aiken, South Carolina and is 310 contiguous square miles. The approximate number of employees at SRS is ~12,000.

SRNS is seeking interest from any and all eligible firms who may be interested in providing a redundant enhanced 911 telephone system in both the primary and alternate Savannah River Site Operations Center (SRSOC) that is Next Generation 911 ready which connects to both the public switched telephone system and onsite telephone system for the receipt of 911 communications in order to comply with the Wireless Communication and Public Safety Act of 1999 along with the laws and regulations of the State of South Carolina. The installed system must also support integration with central alarm station system telephones along with call center features necessary to support plant central control room functions (e.g., remote worker and business lines).  The system shall include fully redundant components such that the failure of any single component shall not impact more than a single telephone station.  The SRSOC currently has an emergency operations network installed at both facilities and consists of redundant network switches and a 10-gigabyte backbone which is available for use as part of this project but is not required. If the current existing backbone is not utilized, the subcontract shall include the necessary network equipment to connect the redundant 911 systems.
