News Editor and Event Planner
It is the intent of the unit to acquire the services of a person to provide copy for 6 regional employer editions and 12 employee editions of an electronic commute newsletter. These newsletters will be distributed to 3000 Employer worksites to encourage participation in Ridesharing. News consists of a teaser email page emailed to employers that links to a main newsletter design shell that is linked to articles housed on a web site, secondary page newsletter shell and a one-page employee newsletter flyer. Duties include obtaining and developing story ideas, working in coordination with the graphic designer, assistance with obtaining graphic and routing newsletter to five county agencies for approval and edits. This person will also assist with planning activities and required marketing materials for the following events as well as other events as needed.
