New Ultrasound Systems & Accessories
As part of a medical education training program in clinical ultrasonography, the School wishes to purchase high quality ultrasound equipment for patient care as well as for
use by medical students, residents, and other physicians receiving special training in ultrasound.
For these purposes, the medical school seeks portable, light weight (12 pounds or less),
laptop-sized diagnostic ultrasound systems that can be easily transported by hand between
buildings on the medical school campus. The equipment must be capable of battery operation.
An ultrasound imaging library of pathological conditions will be developed for training purposes
and thus it is essential that the equipment be capable of saving the acquired images in raw
data format (both 2D and 3D) so that images may be reprocessed without the patient being
present.
