New Bed Tower & Operating - Procedure Room Project
Chapel Hill, NC. Approval has been received for early planning & design of a new Inpatient Bed
Tower and Operating-Procedure Room project. The project will include a new 321
Inpatient Bed Tower building along Manning Drive in front of the existing
Memorial Hospital. It will include connections back to the main hospital, a tunnel
connection to the existing hospital, and may include a replacement bridge to the
parking decks on the far side of Manning drive. This will be a complex project in a
congested area of the campus. The project must be undertaken without disruption
of access to the hospital or to hospital operations.
