Neighborhood Visioning and Analysis
Town seeks the services of a consultant to provide professional services for the purpose of conducting a community visioning exercise about the possible redevelopment of the Glen Lennox apartment and commercial complex and to provide follow-up analysis about the impacts of different redevelopment scenarios.
On September 7, 2010, the Glen Lennox Area Neighborhood Conservation District Development Committee held a brainstorming session about the design of the community visioning exercise. Members of the committee stated that to be successful, the visioning exercise should:
• Build on the unique qualities of the neighborhood
• Encourage participation
• Look at the big picture
• Not end up on a shelf
• Contain action items
• Have options at the end
• Be informed by the context of the future transportation expectations and other development activity in the area
• Have a scenario that presents Glen Lennox as it is
• Have the scenarios be informed by what is allowed by current zoning regulations in the surrounding area
