This project involves the acquisition of foreclosed or abandoned residential properties with NSP 3 funding following site approval of County.
Proposers will develop scopes of work to bring the units into compliance with all County Codes, manage the rehabilitation process, and manage the asset during the holding period. Upon completion of the homeownership units, they will be sold to income-eligible buyers who can qualify for private financing. Financial assistance in the form of housing assistance or second mortgages may be made available to the buyer to assist with the process. Housing counseling will be required of all potential purchasers.
