Natus Phototherapy Unit
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025917N0093. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Solcon, Inc, doing business as Quick Medical GS; 30200 Se 79th St. Unit 120, Issaquah, WA, 98027-8792. The objective of this sole source award is for 25 each Natus phototherapy Unit and 4 each Natus Neoblue Radiometer. Salient Characteristics must include:
1. Naval Medical Center San Diego is currently utilizing Natus' Phototherapy Units throughout the command, keeping the equipment standardized will decrease the potential for variations in treatment levels (patient safety concern) amongst patients.
2. The purchase of standardized equipment will save the government from purchasing different radiometers to measure optimal light output and will decrease the cost of training and consumables.
Nuvasive, Inc is the manufacturer of the needed items. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339113; the small business size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 06:00 AM Pacific Time on August 01, 2017 may be considered by the Government.

The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, Intent to Award Sole Source Quick Medical GS " A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
