Solicitation Documents: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) requiring both price and technical proposals responding to evaluation criteria described in the solicitation. Documents will only be available electronically to download from this website on or about December 18, 2018.


Description: The purpose for project is to stormproof National Forest system roads on the Ukonom Ranger District of the Klamath National Forest administered by Six Rivers National Forest. The primary work items include replacing culverts, road reconditioning, spot rocking, installing gabion baskets, salvaging and installing gate, placing rock embankment, and erosion control. The Schedule of Items and the General Notes/Road Logs contain the full listing of included work.


Location: Roads in the project area are located north of the town of Orleans, CA and west of the community of Somes Bar, CA. The Project Roads are located from the town of Orleans up the G.O. road (15N01) approximately 7 miles, then turn right onto Forest Road 13N18 (Donahue Flat Road) and go approximately 2 miles, just before the end of the pavement turn right onto 13N14 to beginning of project. Approximately ½ mile down 13N14 there is a 4 way intersection, 13N14 continues to a sharp left. See the vicinity map for access routes to the roads.


Price Range: $100,000 - $250,000


Estimated Start Date: June 15, 2019


Contract Completion Time: October 15, 2019


Set-Aside: This project is 100% set aside for small business concerns.


Bonds: A Bid guarantee is required with the offer. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful contractor within 10 days of award.


Response Location: Offers will be accepted at the Northern California Acquisition Service Area, Redding Office, located within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest Headquarters at 3644 Avtech Parkway, Redding, CA 96002 NO LATER than date and time indicate on the solicitation.


SAM REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award. SAM.gov registration is FREE! There is NO FEE to register or maintain their SAM.gov registration
