This is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with FAR Part 12. The tasks in this requirement include native seed increase, seed cleaning, seed testing, storage, and shipping. Native seed to start the increase fields will originate from in park collections and will be government provided. The native seed will be collected from two distict watersheds within the park and shall not be mixed or combine in any manner. The two focus areas to be revegetated with the seed produced from this contract are Toulome Meadows (Tioga Road) and Glacier Point. These revegetation efforts are in support of the National Park Service's natural resource management policies that direct managers to preserve local native species, local genotypes, and prevent non-native plant introductions and invasions. Thus the critical component or outcome of this seed increase contract is a product (seed) that is, to the extent possible, free of contaminants including non-native species and native species that are not local to the park or are of non local genotypes.
