EXCEPT AS MODIFIED OR AMPLIFIED IN RFP, THIS ITEM CONTAINS CLASS "C" EXPLOSIVES.  DFAR CLAUSE 252.223-7002, SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR AMMUNITION AND EXPLOSIVES (MAY 1994) APPLIES.

 

THIS ACQUISITION CONTAINS EXPLOSIVE NAVAL ORDNANCE ITEMS, WHICH REQUIRE SPECIAL SECURITY, SAFETY AND TRANSPORTATION CLAUSES.  THE CLAUSES MAY BE FOUND IN SECTION "I".

CODE N742.14    NOTE:  PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE NAVY. THIS PROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED.  THIS ITEM IS AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE.  QUANTITY - 150 EACH. ITEM DESCRIPTION:  NSN: 1377-01-245-3924, MC91, CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY LOADED USED IN THE AN/BST-1 BUOY SYSTEM. A SAFETY SURVEY WILL BE REQUIRED.  EXPLOSIVE WEIGHT - 0.005700 LBS.  EXPLOSIVE CLASS - 1.4S.  PRODUCTION LOT TESTING AND FIRST ARTICLE TESTING, CONTRACT DATA REQUIREMENT LISTS, GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIAL AND FOB ORIGIN APPLY.  A COMPLETE DRAWING PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING ON THE WEB.  A DIGITAL CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED FOR VIEWING WEB BASED DRAWINGS.

Patterns, Drawings, Deviations Lists, Purchase Descriptions, etc., are not stocked at the DODSSP.

 

Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
