NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - X-Ray Computed Tomography (XCT) scanner computer system upgrade kit
The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source based on proprietary issues. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Varian Medical Systems Security & Inspection Products, 6811 Spencer Street, Las Vegas, NV 89119, for:
One (1) XCT Upgrade Kit consisting of:
-ACTIS-5 software license
-One (1) Dell 32-bit T7600 Data Acquisition Workstation with VPRO card, two (2) Dell Flat Screen Monitors, MS Excel and associated cables.
-One (1) Dell 64-bit T7600 high-speed reconstructor workstation with one (1) Dell flat screen monitor, two (2) GeForce GPGPU modules
-One (1) Motion System consisting of: 6-axis controller, chassis and associated cabling
-One (1) Turntable (Replacement or Equivalent Model)
-One (1) Final kit component testing
-One (1) year limited warranty on workstation, remote motion system, detector, manipulator and ACTIS-5 software
-Installation and Training
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
