NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Preventive Maintenance Plan for FEI Scanning Electron Microscope Instruments.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source based on proprietary knowledge of the original equipment manufacturer. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with FEI Company, 5350 NE Dawson Creek Dr. , Hillsboro, OR, 97124-5793, for a Preventative Maintenance Service Contract for a FEI NanoSEM 600 Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), a Preventative Maintenance Service Contract for a FEI Nova600 Dual Beam (DB) Focused Ion Beam (FIB) system, and a Preventative Maintenance Service Contract for a FEI XL30 ESEM FEG Field Emission Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope (FEESEM).
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
