NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - A-DEC DENTAL CHAIRS AND DELIVERY SYSTEMS
The Billings Area Indian Health Service intends to award a non-competitive delivery order to A-DEC, Incorporated, 2601 Crestview Drive, Newberg, Oregon 97132, pursuant to the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 8, Required Sources of Supplies and Services; 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements"; and FAR 37.101, Nonpersonal Services Contract. The proposed contract action is for the purchase, delivery and installation of five (5) new A-DEC dental chairs and delivery systems for the Dental Department at the Verne E. Gibbs Health Center on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, Poplar, Montana. This new equipment will integrate with existing A-DEC equipment and instruments and eliminate the need to re-train and re-certify employees who maintain and service the A-DEC equipment.
The only open market item being purchased in this acquisition is installation which is not included in the VA contract.
