NOTICE INVITING STATEMENTS OF ELECTRICAL QUALIFICATION
The work consists of expanding the existing 20 mgd water treatment plant from 20 mgd to 30 mgd. The work shall consist of improvements and additions of groundwater wells, 36-inch raw water pipeline, aeration equipment, chemical feed equipment, addition of a transfer pump, addition of a high service pump, and extensive electrical and control systems improvements. Prequalification of Electrical Sub-Contractors was completed in 2007. Considerable time has elapsed since the initial prequalification and there may be interest from qualified contractors who had not previously been interested or qualified. Therefore prequalifications for Electrical Sub-Contractors have been reopened and will remain open until 3 o'clock p.m. (MDST) on the 1st day of April, 2010. Due to the specialized nature of the construction, only bids with prequalified Electrical Sub-Contractors shall be considered. Plans and specifications for the project are available from the Carollo Overland Park Office in accordance with the original invitation to bid.
