PROJECT DETAILS: NM FLAP TRAIL77000(1), El Camino Real Trail
The El Camino Real Trail project located on the west side of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The general scope of improvements is construction of approximately 15 miles of a new multi-use trail described as follows:
•· Approx. 3.4 miles of 10' wide asphalt concrete pavement trail.
•· Approx. 1.7 miles of 4' wide aggregate surface trail.
•· Approx. 10 miles of 30-inch tread natural surface trail.
Proposed new construction work includes linear grading, aggregate base, asphalt concrete pavement, concrete box culvert extension (existing Double 12'x10' CBC), minor culvert extensions, trailhead parking area, fence, signing, and interpretive signs.
The project is located on Santa Fe County, Bureau of Land Management, and United State Forest Service lands. The contractor will need to take care to insure no disturbance to the land adjacent to the construction limits. Also, the contractor must utilize machinery with a maximum width of 48 inches, i.e. mini dozers, mini excavators and mini crawler carriers for construction of the natural surface trail portion, and should have experience in construction of sustainable natural surface trails.
