NEW AIR COOLED CHILLER INSTALLATION
1. Base Bid "A": Installation of a process chilled water back-up system complete with a 150 ton air cooled chiller, pumps, piping, controls, and all appurtenances. The chiller shall be located in the equipment yard next to the receiving dock. Redundant pumps for the existing process chilled water system and the existing process system heat exchanger pump shall also be furnished and installed. Power to the new equipment shall be extended from the existing emergency system to allow operation during normal power interruption. 2. Base Bid "B": Installation of a 500 ton building back-up air cooled chiller system complete with piping, controls, and all appurtenances. The chiller shall be located across the street to the west of the NSERL Building in a new enclosure. The existing building chilled water pumps will be used. A new 1250 kw generator shall be installed in the existing generator enclosure. The Automatic Transfer Switch and related switchgear shall be located in the new chiller enclosure. E. Contractor shall provide all equipment necessary and usually furnished in connection with such work and systems whether or not mentioned specifically herein or on the Drawings.
