NASA F-15 Repair service the Pitch & Roll Channel Assembly
NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (NASA/AFRC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Moog Inc., located at 400 Jamison Rd Plant 26, Elma, NY, 14059-9497 pursuant to the procedures in FAR Subpart 13.5 used in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901.
The contractor Moog Inc., it is the original manufacturer and the only facility authorized to repair: 1ea, Pitch and Roll Channel Assembly (PRCA) P/N: 010-63055-24, that belongs to NASA's F-15 aircraft.
The justification is based on the contracting officer's determination that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:00 p.m. PT on March 29, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
