This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement for market research in support of N62473-14-D-4609-X027, Install Hobart Ground Power Unit at Building PM372, NBVC, Point Mugu, California. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions and will not be disclosed outside the agency. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the analysis. All data received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Since this is a Sources Sought announcement, no debrief, evaluation letters, and/or results will be issued to the participants. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a proposal package or solicitation. There is no proposal package or solicitation at this time. In order to protect the procurement integrity of this project, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The requirement is for one Hobart Ground Power Unit (Part No. ADV180V) Brand Name 400 Hertz power converter to meet the new modified aircraft 180KVA; 400 hertz power demands, increase safety and reduce manpower needed by maintenance personnel working on modified aircraft. Intent is to acquire a system that is common with those currently in use in order to leverage existing experience as well as the support infrastructure that is in place. The total estimated value for the use of the Hobart 180KVA, 400HZ Ground Power Unit is approximately $203.2K. Interested sources are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis by completing Attachment 1 - Company Information and Attachment 2 - Technical Information. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis are due no later than Friday, May 16, 2016, 10:00 A.M. (Pacific Time).
