The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to enter into a contract with a qualified supplier to obtain the design and development of a new website at the Museum for the University. The University is examining several alternatives of providing this website design and development and may decide, after reviewing proposals submitted, not to enter into any agreement.
The Museum needs a new website platform designed and developed as it moves into its new building. The objective of the website is to increase attendance to the Museum and its programs, as well as contain the interactive way-finding system connecting visitors to varied pathways through the Museum, and the virtual gateway to the state.
The construction of a new Museum provides our institution with an unprecedented opportunity to create a rich interface between the public and the Museum's collections, research and educational programming. The Museum's new website should create synergies between the Museum and the public that ultimately deepen and enrich the Museum experience.
The Museum is looking for a supplier with the strategic ability, technical capabilities, creativity and resourcefulness to help the Museum become a leader within its industry in applying technology to advance our mission.
