Multi-Modal Crossing Planning & Feasibility Study
The Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking a qualified consulting firm to identify alternatives and develop conceptual designs for bicycle, pedestrian and transit facility improvements. The proposed project is based on the desire to construct a new dedicated connector right of way capable of transporting cyclist and, pedestrians, and possibly transit vehicles across the Western Boulevard corridor that traverses North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. The connector would link the South and Central campus precincts of North Carolina State University and enhance the safety and multi-modal functions of this facility especially for pedestrians and bicyclists as well as certain transit vehicle technologies
