THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION ONLY.  THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUATATION OR AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF A SOLICITAION.
This is to identify sources that can perform Movement of Government Furniture and Appliances at Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi.

Firms that are interested should respond to Mr. Yuma Kato via email at yuma.kato.jp@us.af.mil by 20 Aug 2019 including the following:

(1) name and address of firm;
(2) a point of contact with name, title, phone, fax, and email; and
(3) CAGE (NCAGE) code and DUNS number (if available).

DESCRIPTION:  The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform Movement of Government Furniture and Appliances at U.S. Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi, Japan as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) in compliance with the terms and conditions of this contract and applicable Japanese laws and trade practices.

TYPE OF FREIGHT:  Freight to be moved is Government issued furniture and appliances.  Issued furniture and appliances will be new, repaired, or refurbished.  The draft PWS, Appendix B, shows estimated dimensions, weights and types of furniture and appliances that would be moved under the contract.  The total price for a movement order will be the sum of applicable unit price in the pricing schedule times the total weight of all furniture and/or appliances moved based on the weight of each item specified in the above list.

AREA OF PERFORMANCE:
(1) Area I: On-Base (within NAF Atsugi)
(2) Area II: Under 30 kilometers radius from NAF Atsugi
(3) Area III: 30-60 kilometers radius from NAF Atsugi

EXPECTED PERFORMANCE PERIOD:  Base Year 01 Jan 2020 through 31 Dec 2020 with four (4) one-year options (Subject to change)

Pick-up/Delivery -
   Area I: 475,000 lbs / yr
   Area II: 387,500 lbs / yr
   Area III: 2,000 lbs / yr
Cancellation -
   Area I: 20,000 lbs / yr
   Area II: 16,000 lbs / yr
   Area III: 2,000 lbs / yr
Emergency Movement -
   Area I: 230,000 lbs / yr
   Area II: 55,000 lbs / yr
   Area III: 2,000 lbs / yr

NOTE:  THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN.  THE SUCCESSFUL OFFEROR MUST BE LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO PERFORM THE SERVICE IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN.

This notice is for informational purposes only and is not considered a commitment by the Government.  The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this sources sought.  If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps).  It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor the site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.  Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary and will be provided at no cost to the Government.
