Motor Vehicle Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Demonstration Program
The Motor Vehicle Theft and Insurance Fraud Prevention Board and the Division of
Criminal Justice Services encourage grant applicants to submit 2009 applications focusing on
motor vehicle theft and vehicle related insurance fraud. These applications must involve
collaborative efforts with the State Department of Motor Vehicles, State Insurance Department -
Insurance Fraud Bureau, State Police and Special Investigation Units of insurance companies.
Projects are to be designed to enhance present efforts by seeking specialized training, conducting
investigations and working with local district attorneys staff to curtail this problem.
