The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Lexington, KY, intends to issue solicitation 15B10919Q00000010 and make a single award for the provision of Mortuary/Burial Services. The services will be provided to individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, KY. The physical address is Federal Medical Center, 3301 Leestown Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40511. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 812210 with a small business size standard of $7.5 million.

The Government contemplates awarding an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit price. The contract periods for the service will consist of a base year with an effective date on October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020 with four 12-month option years for renewal. The forthcoming Statement of Work will provide all the details regarding the required services for the estimated services.

The solicitation will be available on or about June 6, 2019 and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about July 3, 2019. Faith-Based and Community-Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.

All contractors doing business with the Federal Government are advised that this future solicitation includes the clause FAR 52.212-4(t) for Commercial Items and System for Award Management (SAM). This clause requires all contractors doing business with the federal government after September 30, 2003, to be registered in the SAM database at www.sam.gov. Contractors should include their Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number in their offers. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award by entering the potential awardees DUNS number into the SAM database. The acquisition is restricted to Total Small Businesses.
