Solicitation W81K00-18-T-0110 will be issued on 20 February 2018 for the purchase for Modular Cooler-Heaters for San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This is a "Brand name or equal" solicitation. The brand name is Cardio Quip. The salient characteristics of these products are as follows:
o Open water path design to ease inspection and cleaning of machine
o Must be able to circulate sterile water
o Any fans within the device must be able to be turned off during use
o Temperature control from O - 42 degrees Centigrade
o Temperature precision of 0.1 degrees
o Must be compact size- 19" x 9" x 16" to fit under ECMO cart
o Able to self-cool (make its own ice block)
o FDA approved for use in conjunction with cardiopulmonary bypass circuits
