The Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) is excited to post this pre-announcement for a Request for Project Proposals (RPP) focused on the performance of an in-depth analysis of current industry/organization MEDICAL LOGISTICS best practices, future trends and technical capabilities, and rapidly emerging technologies, such as blockchain, predictive inventory and asset positioning, placement and location tracking as well as other advanced technologies that can augment current capabilities. The end goal of the analysis is the improve Defense Medical Logistics Information Technology systems to support the provisioning of the highest caliber of medical care to wounded, injured and ill soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, enhancing the mission readiness and effectiveness of care for military personnel.


The MTEC mission is to assist the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) by partnering with industry and academia to augment the supply chain and next generation inventory management capabilities that are utilized to protect, treat, and optimize Warfighters' health and performance across the full spectrum of military operations. MTEC is a biomedical technology consortium collaborating with multiple government agencies under a 10-year renewable Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), Agreement No. W81XWH-15-9-0001, with the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA). MTEC is currently recruiting a broad and diverse membership that includes representatives from large businesses, small businesses, "nontraditional" government contractors, academic research institutions and not-for-profit organizations.
