Mobile Satellite Communications
The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to obtain pricing for and select a Vendor to provide mobile satellite communications service for the Division of State Highway Patrol's Command Bus. Bidding will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of this IFB and any addenda thereto.
Satellite Service Equipment
Vendor must provide a Satellite Communications Solution that shall be compatible with the existing 1.2m auto acquisition
satellite antenna system installed on the Mobile Command Vehicle and shall meet the following (minimum) requirements:
1.) TCP/IP Connectivity from the Satellite transceiver to an existing 24 Port managed Ethernet switch for wired connection
to the Command Bus data network. TCP/IP connectivity will allow both Voice and Data traffic from the command bus to
the Teleport ISP. IP Addresses used by customer equipment must be Static IP addresses and the address space must
be of sufficient size to accommodate all customer network related equipment associated with the Command Bus.
2.) Vendor must furnish, integrate, and commission TWO (2) Encore VSR 30 Device for Satellite Link Encryption
3.) Vendor must furnish, integrate, and commission two direct inward dial phone numbers for voice telephony connectivity.
