The City has a desire to update its mobile and semi-fixed wireless infrastructure to broadband and to that end is researching the potential use of licensed 700 MHz, 2500 MHz, or relative bands and associated technology with the expectation of the use of Long Term Evolution (LTE) protocols as the first choice. The network is expected to service only government users and primarily public safety.
