SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE

This is a sources sought announcement only. There is no solicitation available at this time. The synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of conducting Market Research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This effort is to seek out qualified sources (large or small) capable of providing services for transportation, treatment and disposal of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) mixed waste materials. The waste materials may have both a hazardous component (defined under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) - Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 40 Part 260 through 270) and a radioactive component (i.e. source, special nuclear, or by-product material subject to the Atomic Energy Act of 1954).


The intent is to issue a single award Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity for a base award and four one-year options for the required services. Small or large companies that have experience with this type of services are encouraged to respond to this notice by 19 December 2017. The submission of information is for planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items or services. The information will not be returned, and no compensation will be provided from any response to this announcement. Proprietary information submitted will be protected, when so designated.


The anticipated North American Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) Code and Product Service Code (PSC) are 562211 and F108 respectively.

2.    Business Size and status of your company
3.    Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) Code.
4.    Suggested changes to the anticipated NAICS Code
5.    Have you performed the same or similar work in the past?
6.    What are your specific technical skills that will ensure your capability to perform the requirement?
7.    Explanation of the company's ability to perform greater than 50% of the efforts required.
8.    The availability of commercial services to meet needs.

Requests for a solicitation package will not be honored nor will technical point of contact information be provided.
