Mitigate Campus Drainage DB Sioux Falls
INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract using DESIGN-BUILD selection procedures for a Mitigate Campus Drainage project at the Sioux Falls, SD VA Medical Center (VAMC).
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project will include the design of a storm water collection and detention system that meets the requirements detailed in the 2018 Sioux Falls VA Hospital Drainage Study. The work will re-rout storm water discharge in order to comply with instructions set forth by the City of Sioux Falls. Areas of work include, but are not limited to the following location(s): boiler plant, roof tops, basement areas, and underground areas as necessary. Upgrades include, but are not limited to the following items: storm water collection system, sump pit and pump, grading and piping rehab, basement water infiltration and drains, and electrical systems.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 1, 2019. The period of performance is approximately 420 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000.
