The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul, Minnesota District has a requirement for quality assurance (QA) inspection services of miter gate fabrication. 
 
The work includes providing QA inspection services for Hydraulic Steel Structures (HSS) and other metal components. Services include but are not limited to development of a QA inspection plan, reviewing fabricator submittals, responding to fabricator Requests for Information (RFI's), material and product testing, paint inspections and documentation of the work performed. The qualifications for each technical discipline required to perform these services will be detailed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) with the Request for Quotes (RFQ) once issued. 
 
This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 541990; All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services with a size standard of $15M.
 


This synopsis is not a request for quotes or proposals. This is a notice that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract.


Quotes will be due approximately 10 days from the date the solicitation is issued, however, the 10 day time frame is an estimate and subject to change. The definitive quote due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued.


No CD's or hard copies will be available. Interested parties are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to the notice. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM).
