The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is seeking information regarding capability and availability of potential Section 8(a) contractors to perform work that involves eliminating the threat of uncontrolled seepage within a drainage ditch by installing a pipe within the existing ditch alignment for approximately a 300-foot stretch where the drainage ditch parallels the toe of the Rock Creek levee. The pipe will be supported on a flowable fill bedding, poured to the springline of the pipe. The remainder of the ditch would then be backfilled with compacted random fill material around the pipe to the elevation of the surrounding ground surface. The pipe will tie into the 42-inch diameter CMP drainage structure and the 60-inch diameter steel pump station inlet pipe. In addition, the combined discharge from the relief wells will be collected in a piping system and drained into the new pipe placed within the ditch. Duration of construction contract is estimated to be 90 calendar days.
