Middlesex County, Public Notice of Receipt of PPEA proposal and intent to review

Middlesex County has accepted an unsolicited proposal for conceptual-phase consideration under the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002, Virginia Code 56-575.1 through 56-575.18 for the upgrade and replacement of its public safety radio system. The County has received and accepted for review an unsolicited proposal under the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act or PPEA, and intends to evaluate the proposal. The County may negotiate an interim or comprehensive agreement with the proposer based on the proposal. The County will accept for simultaneous consideration any competing proposals that comply with the PPEA procedures adopted by the County. The proposed P-25 compliant public safety radio system offers to trunk the radio system with full redundancy of major system equipment and interoperability with neighboring agencies. Copies of the submitted unsolicited proposal(s) shall be available upon request, subject to the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Code of Virginia Code, and the adopted PPEA policy of the County.
