The University is broadening the wireless solution for its residence halls. This project is a continuation of the current wireless installation.
With this project we plan on deploying 380 Aruba AP105 access points on all floors giving full wireless coverage to the student population. Power-over-Ethernet injectors are required to power our existing Aruba Wireless Access Points. The Access points will be wired to 20 different aggregation network closets with 19" racks. Unit must have power capabilities to power each port simultaneously for AP105's and future expansion for IP based cameras. 380 AP105's are being installed in all of our Residence Halls on campus. Being that our network backbone is Cisco switches without POE capability, POE midspan switch(s) are needed to power the access points from multiple aggregation locations. Aruba AP 105s are N capable access points and gigabit POE capable equipment is necessary.
