This Notice is published to gain knowledge of technically qualified Small Business concerns including 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Small Businesses and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that are interested in and capaable of performing the renovation detailed below.
Project Description:
This project involves the investigation, design and construction of repairs and improvements to moisture protection systems at the building envelope of the Clyde Atkins Federal Building in Miami Florida. The work includes joint sealant replacements, expansion joint replacements and installations, concrete crack repairs, exterior paver repairs and replacements, waterproofing membrane replacements, concrete curbs removal and replacement, and roof cover repairs and improvements.
The existing Federal Building consists of an 11 Story tower section and two 3 story wings on each side fo the tower. Mechanical penthouses are constructed above the 11th floor of the tower section and above the 3rd floors of the wings. The building envelope involves pre-cast architectural concrete panels and aluminum and glass storefronts and windows on reinforced concrete structural framing. Roof cover consists of built-up asphalt membranes on the lower roofs and modified bitumen membranes on the upper roofs. Lightweight insulating concrete is installed between all roof membranes and roof slabs.
The Deisgn Builder shall design and construct repairs, replacements and improvements of these moisture protection systems and shall test the completed work for watertightness in accordance with the Statement of Work. The Design-Builder shall also provide 10 year warranties on all repairs.
Construction Range $1,000,000 to $3,000,000.
Period of Performance: 210 days.
