MiFare Cards Production & Distribution

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) requires the services of a qualified contractor to provide WMATA with a large quantity of high quality, full featured smartcards that utilize the MiFare Plus chipset, and do so reliably, with the shortest possible lead-time for orders. WMATA is also interested in receiving proposals for a distribution and sales partner to assist with the sale of WMATA SmarTrip cards. The distribution and sales partner requirement is an optional requirement. Offerors are not required to provide a response to that requirementp however WMATA will consider both options.

Seeking proposals for the procurement of smartcards (used for multimodal transportation, transit fare product purchases, and other future uses) along with an option for distribution and sales through retail sales and vending outlets for approx 1.8 million WMATA smartTrip card users in the greater Washington, DC metro area.
