Western Area Power Administration, Sierra-Nevada Region (SNR) intendstonegotiate, on a sole source basis a firm fixed price contract (FAR Part12)with Itron Inc., 2818 N. Sullivan Road, Spokane, WA 99216; under theauthorityof 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) . Contractor shall provide product license andmaintenance renewal for MetrixIDR Load Forecast software:-Itron Inc. is the architect of the MetrixIDR Load Forecast software andisthe only vendor that has the depth of knowledge and working understandingofsaid software to provide support. The existence of limited rights in data,
patent rights, copyrights or secret processes; the control of basic rawmaterial; or similar circumstances make the supplies available from onlyonesource. There are currently no other vendors other than Itron can providethelicense and support for this software at a level that is acceptable toWestern.This Notice is not a request for quotes or proposals. Interested firms may
identify their interest and submit documentation demonstrating theircapabilityto respond to the requirements listed above by emailing Sharon Bates,Contracting Officer at [email protected]. Any information received shall be
considered for future procurements. This Notice in no way obligates the
Government to any contract. Western is not responsible for any costsincurredin responding to this Notice.
