Metal Roof Replacement for Gymnasium, Building #8
The Finch-Henry Job Corps Center is requesting quotes for the Metal Roof Replacement on the Gymnasium,Building #8. Work is to provide construction services to remove and replace existing metal roofing on the Gumnasium, Building #8. The new roofing shall be a commerical grade steel standing seam roof of approximately 10,000 SF in area. The existing roof consists of ribbed metal sheet thru-fastened to purlins on a pre-engineered metal framed building. There is vinyl faced fiberglass batt insulation on the underside of the roof sheeting exposed to the space below. The building was built in 1981 and the existing roofing is presumed original.
The new roofing shall be Energy Star rated and witha minimum solar reflectance SRI Value of 29. All work to be accomplished in accordance with the NRCA. Roofing system must have a UL Class A fire rating and must meet or exceed all requirementts of I-90 wind resistance. Provide a standard 20 year roofing manufacturer's warranty.
There will be a mandatory Pre-Quote Meeting and Walk-through on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at the Finch-Henry Job Corps Center. The meeting will be held in the conference room of Building #1, Administration/Health Services. All interested vendors must attend the meeting and walk-through in order for the quotes to be accepted.
