Merchant Services & Gateway Provider for E-Commerce and Point-of-Sale Transactions
Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide merchant services and a gateway for the organization's e-commerce and point-of-sale transactions. The organizationhas been accepting credit card payments since 2000 and currently accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diner's Club, and debit cards for payment of permits and programming at various parks throughout the city. In late 2011 the organizationwill add 64 terminals,and replace 46 existing terminals (including credit card signature pads) throughout the course of a new combined e-commerce and POS system, as awarded pursuant to a recently advertised RFP for web hosting, web design, and application development services for the organization's web site and e-commerce site (P-09048). The awardee of this solicitation will work with the contracted firm for P-09048 to ensure full integration and operational capacity of the merchant services for use with the website and e-commerce system. The awardee should be prepared to offer merchant services to support the new system for both online and POS transactions in a single solution. The e-commerce system experiences a spike in activity (5,000 transactions per minute) during seasonal registration peaks. It is a requirement of this RFP that the awardee's proposed solution be adequately equipped and prepared to manage this volume. The awardee shall ensure any/allspecial government rates and non-sales tax transaction rates are applied under this contract. The awardee shall also maintain the level of PCI compliance necessary for the volume and number of transactions performed in association with this contract.
