With recognition that there are merchandising opportunities available in connection with the celebration of the historical event, the Committee wishes to identify potential producers, distributors, and sellers of items of merchandise suitable to commemorate the Celebration, and to license those Vendors that qualify to produce, distribute, and/or sell suitable commemorative items and other related merchandise. The licenses to be granted will enable the Vendor to advertise itself as an Official Vendor for NV 150 merchandise and to use the trademarks and service marks available to NV 150 in connection with the sale of its authorized commemorative items. This vendor must be a Nevada company.
Nevada will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its admission to the Union during a year-long, state-wide Sesquicentennial Celebration beginning on Nevada Day, October 31, 2013 and continuing through Nevada Day, October 31, 2014. The Governor has established a Planning Committee for the 150th Anniversary of Nevada's Statehood to help lay the groundwork for this celebration and will appoint a full Sesquicentennial Commission effective February 1, 2013.
