Mental Health Services Act: Prevention and Early Intervention
It is the intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) to secure the services of one or more qualified contractors to implement the Integrated Primary Care and Mental Health Projects of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Plan. Under the PEI component of MHSA, prevention includes programs and services occurring prior to a diagnosis for a mental illness. Early Intervention services address short-duration problems (currently less than one year), requiring relatively low-intensity intervention, with the goal of preventing a mental health problem from becoming worse. The Integrated Primary Care and Mental Health program is one of several Prevention and Early Intervention programs provided under the County’s MHSA Plan.
