VA245-17-Q-0188: The intent of these specifications, terms and conditions, is to describe the service and responsibility of Medical Physics and Radiation Safety Support for the Department of Veterans Affairs Facility at the Martinsburg VAMC located at 510 Butler Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25405. A pre-performance meeting will not be required with the contractor after the contract is awarded. This procurement is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Work includes but not limited to: contractor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, and qualified personnel for initial acceptance and periodic Quality Assurance Testing of all diagnostic imaging equipment. The diagnostic imaging equipment consists of diagnostic X-ray units, Fluoroscopy, Computerized Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine gamma cameras, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Dental X-ray units. The contractor shall provide services of a Certified Health Physicist or Certified Radiation Physicist to calculate radiation shielding requirements whenever required. The contractor shall provide a qualified individual to perform the duties of Radiation Safety Officer, RSO. The RSO shall meet the requirements of NRC 10 CFR 35.50 and 35.59 and have at least 3 years of experience providing services in a similar medical environment. The contractor shall provide the nuclear medicine department with a radiation safety policy manual that will be reviewed and updated annually in accordance with the latest radiation safety regulations on an annual basis. required by the VA are maintained for the VA Medical Center located at 510 Butler Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25405. The firm must be approved under NAICS:541620, size standard: $15.0 million. Prospective contractors must be registered and current in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ to be eligible for award. Only SDVOSB Firms currently verified in the Veterans Information Pages (VIP) at www.vetbiz.gov are eligible to submit bids/offers. SDVOSB firms that submit bids/offers for SDVOSB set-asides that are not listed on VIP will be deemed nonresponsive. Solicitation documents will be available on or about May 24, 2017.
